The Fifth Dimension
Sundays | 10 - 11 am | Sponge RoomSundays | 11:30 am - 12:30 pm | Sponge Room
This summer, our middle and high school youth will experience “The Fifth Dimension,” a curriculum based on Rod Serling’s The Twilight Zone. Mr. Serling converted from Judaism to Unitarianism in college and used radio, television, and film as "vehicles of social criticism" dealing with issues ranging from censorship to racism to war.  The Twilight Zone  incorporated Serling's liberal social views on racial relations, war, gender roles, addiction, extremism, violence, ageism, consumerism, and other social issues of the day.
This pop culture phenomenon is a great way to allow youth to examine ethical and theological issues, while having fun.

OUR WHOLE LIVES SEXUALITY EDUCATION
Honest, accurate information about sexuality changes lives. It dismantles stereotypes and assumptions, builds self-acceptance and self-esteem, fosters healthy relationships, improves decision making, and has the potential to save lives. For these reasons and more, we are proud to offer Our Whole LIVES (OWL), a comprehensive, lifespan sexuality education curricula at All Souls. Interactive workshops and activities engage participants, while step-by-step instructions for program planners and facilitators help ensure success.

Seven curricula speak to participants' needs by age group:
  • kindergarten and first grade
  • fourth and fifth grade
  • seventh and eighth grade
  • high school
  • young adult
  • adult
  • and older adult
Our whole lives helps participants make informed and responsible decisions about their relationships, sexual health, and behavior. With a holistic approach, Our Whole Lives provides accurate, developmentally appropriate information about a range of topics, including relations, gender identity, and expression,  sexual orientation, sexual health, and cultural influences on sexuality.

We plan to offer OWL programs for all ages during the 2022-2023 church year.
